WSV de Peddelaars takes your privacy seriously. This page explains which personal data we process through this website, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have.
Who is responsible?
WSV de Peddelaars is the data controller for the personal data processed through this website. Our address is Sportpark Bentinckspark, Hoogeveen, Drenthe.
What data we process and why
Contact with us
If you fill in the contact form or send us an email, we process your name, your email address, the topic and your message, and your organisation if you give it. We use this data only to answer your question. The form is sent through Netlify Forms and reaches us as an email. Netlify checks each submission for spam with Akismet, a service Netlify uses for this. Akismet receives the content of the submission and technical details such as the IP address and browser. We do not store it in the website's database.
Riders and staff
The website presents the riders and staff of the programme. We show details such as name, year of birth, category, disciplines, race results, a short profile with interests and ambitions, and photos. Do you want something changed or taken off the website? Send us an email and we will arrange it as soon as possible.
Your visit to the website
We count page views with Simple Analytics, without cookies and without profiles of individual visitors. Technical error reports go to Sentry. Sentry is set up without cookies, without session replay and without personal data. Netlify, our host, processes technical data such as your IP address in server logs for every visit. The sign-in service Clerk is loaded only on the admin pages. On every other page it is not loaded and sets no cookies.
Administrators
A small number of club administrators sign in through Clerk to manage the website's content. For this we process their account details, such as their email address.
We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest: answering your questions, presenting the team and keeping the website secure and working.
Who we share data with
These service providers process data on our behalf:
- Netlify: Hosting of the website, receiving the contact form (Netlify Forms) and storing files.
- Akismet: Spam check of the contact form. Netlify uses this service and passes the content of the submission and technical details such as the IP address and browser to it.
- Clerk: Sign-in for administrators.
- Neon: The database with the data the website shows.
- Simple Analytics: Cookieless visitor statistics.
- Sentry: Technical error reports.
We do not sell data and do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it. Some providers are based outside the European Union. Where data goes there, it is protected by the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
We delete contact form submissions ourselves from Netlify Forms after 6 months. We keep emails no longer than needed to deal with your question. Details about riders and staff stay on the website as long as needed to present the team, or until you ask us to change or remove them. We keep administrators' account details for as long as they are administrators.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict how we process it, and to object to the processing. We respond within one month.
If we cannot resolve it together, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
